Tanya talks about whether or not it is beneficial for the seller to get their own home inspection done before they decide to sell their home…
Tanya Rankin: Good morning, it’s Tanya Rankin in Williams Lake. You know a lot of times I get people asking if they should have a home inspection done at the time of listing. So basically the person who wants to sell the house wants to be pro-active and get that home inspection done prior to getting on the market and find out what efficiency is their home may have. So that they can address them prior to a prospective buyer maybe, coming across them and sometimes that could scare buyer off. So what my answer for that is, it certainly doesn’t hurt we can always find out what a home inspection gonna come up with and address those issues which is great. But from the homeowners point of view don’t be disappointed if the prospective buyer ends up getting there own home inspector to do their home inspection. It can be one of those things where people feel a little bit more comfortable hiring somebody themselves that they feel that nothing on their best interest. And the other thing that don’t be disappointed if those home if the next home inspection comes up with completely different issues than the one you already had done. That’s really common and of course frustrating but everybody again has their own opinion of what they see wrong with that property. If you have any questions at all.
