Tanya talks about how her sellers disappeared just before completion and the added stress it caused for potential buyer….
Tanya Rankin: Good morning it’s Tanya Rankin in Williams Lake. I had the craziest thing happen was a transaction is all gone through, is off at the lawyers, sellers agree they settle a certain price, everything signed, buyers agree to buy a certain price, everything signed. And the day before registration the seller has completely disappeared like gone. And when someone disappeared at it’s really hard to track them out again if they don’t re-appear and of course the buyer is thinking they moving on to a home in a couple of days and we got all their plans made and everythings happening but it’s completely on beyond my control that I don’t know where what to do. The seller is just gone and it turns out after a phone calls, an emails and panic I somehow manage to relocate them and they did come back to sign documents. But sometimes you know in real estate this things happen and there’s nothing that anyone can do about it if somebody just doesn’t wanna show up to sign or doesn’t feel like they want to take that responsibility on it’s beyond my control don’t like to see it happen but the reality is it could happen and there’s just nothing I can do about it and in this case that I worked out and I never never had it happen before but hey you never know.
