Tanya Rankin Video Blogs About Home Inspections Being 1 Persons Opinion
Tanya Rankin: Hi it's Tanya Rankin in Williams Lake. Had a offer on a home collapsed the other day because the home inspector came across the fact that there were polybuteleen pipes used in the home when the home plumbing was done. And the home was somewhere between 12 and 15 years old so back then that was what people were using in as we all know as the world changes and progression and advancement happens standard in practices changed in all aspects of business and life and building etc. So now they're aren't using those but there's a lots of properties and lots of places that have that type of plumbing in them. Either way it's scared to potential buyer from proceeding with that sale and of course my sellers felt they would be something they should probably have looked into. They bought the home three years earlier they also have a home inspection done and the polybuteleen pipes that time it didn't become a problem. So they had a plumber come up an expert in the field who's written them a letter and that says there's absolutely nothing wrong with this system that was use then. But of course they are quite concern so my advice is to just remember a home inspectors opinion is one of the persons opinion and you could line up five inspectors they may all find something different. The best advice I can give on that is if they bring something up that is alarming I think take it to the next step and bring in a professional on that field whether it's a contractor if it's something to do a construction, a plumber for plumbing, an electrician for the electrical take it to the next step lots of time to cease in our problem is what they appear in the first home inspection.
