Tanya discuses the market activity over the past 10 days, and why she thinks the sales to new listings ratio is somewhat balanced…
Tanya Rankin : Hi it’s Tanya Rankin in beautiful Williams Lake. I’m gonna do the market update this week and it’s a past ten days activity that will go over. So first time in a really long time that the number of homes sold is actually higher than the numbers of home being listed. So in that time period we’ve had 11 new listings, we’ve had 15 price reductions and 12 homes that have successfully sold. Now with that 15 price reductions what were seeing there is a lot of people just realizing that in order to get your home successfully sold they’re needing to adjust that price accordingly and of course with those 12 homes that did sell were noticing that those really people that were willing to kind to get that push and jump ahead of the curve and the trend that we would see happening as well as they wanted to take advantage if that nice active fall market. We’re moving deeper now into the cooler climate and you know what I think were gonna probably see this trend continue. The inventory of new listings getting a little bit lower which is probably quiet normal with winter upon us a lot of people think I don’t want to have to move right now but if you don’t mind moving right now. It’s a great time to sell because there’s not as much competition. On that note, if you have questions at all. You can always email me at tanya@tanyarankin.com and I hope you have a great week!
