Tanya talks about dual agency and the importance of having the trust and respect for the realtor you choose to work with….
Tanya Rankin: Good morning it’s Tanya Rankin in Williams Lake. Dual agency every time I am working with somebody and I know that there’s a really good possibility they’re going to end up wanting to buy one of my own listings. I have to cross that bridge of the dreaded dual agency. A lot of people don’t totally understand how it works and because there’s a little been of misconception about it over the years I think sometimes people get a little bit fearful or nervous about it. A lot of people 80 to 90 percent probably really don’t have a problem with it but there is not a small percentage that feel of your representing both sides of the party they may possibly be some great area there that they’re not getting the representation they feel that they want to their need and I guess I’m just here to express that my job is to facilitate a transaction whether or not I’m working in a dual agency situation or not. And it comes back to same statement I made so many times on so many of my video blogs and that’s just really trusting and respecting in the professional you are working with if its somebody that you trust then you probably know their ethics, moral and standards that kept in really high regard and ultimately that’s what your looking for an agent whether or not your buying something that’s in a dual agency situation or not. So on that note, if you have any further questions with respect to dual agency I’m more than happy to talk about it and explain it. So send me an email to tanya@tanyarankin.com and I hope you have a great week!
