Tanya Rankin video blogs about Williams Lake Real Estate and the reality of the summer market and activity.
Hi it’s Tanya Rankin in Williams Lake. I wanted to do a little quick recap because I always find it fascinating that how as soon as we get into the hotter summer months activity really slows down here in Williams Lake. Oddly I find July one of the slowest months, probably on par with December and January and I feel that it’s typical of that fact that we have such a long winter here that when the weather gets really hot and warm, unless people absolutely have to buy they would much rather be out at the lake enjoying the sunshine and enjoying that summer time activity that we get for a really short season. The other thing I find is stampede weekend always slows down activity a little and it takes some time to build that momentum back up. So in the past 14 days we have had 44 new listings, 28 price reductions and only 11 properties successfully sell. So you can see that’s exactly what I’m expressing that the market is slower in July despite the fact that the weather is good and a lot of people want to sell them, so they don’t have to move in the winter but there aren’t and Buyers. If you have any questions send me an email anytime to tanya@tanyarankin.com and I hope you have a fantastic week.
