Tanya Rankin video blogs about preparing your home for sale and how de-cluttering can give you the edge on the competition.
Tanya Rankin: Hi, it’s Tanya Rankin in Williams Lake. We’re just going to be finishing up the awesome summer weather and moving in to what I always call the fall market here in the Cariboo. We’re going to be getting more activity, more Buyers out there, it’s going to eat up some of that supply that built up over the summer holidays. Totally typical here in Williams Lake that that’s the trend we get into spring is busy, summer is slow, and then fall starts to get really busy again. So everyone can get settled before the cold winter months. But if you’re someone that’s thinking of selling the number one biggest tip I can give you to get your home ready and to get a bit of a jump on the competition on the other listings is to de-clutter. So many people want to spend money on new flooring all kinds of things, outside, inside, and it’s not always attainable to achieve getting that back in the return on your investment, but de-cluttering is free. Take all of the extra things off of the kitchens counters and off the bathrooms counters anything in the way of laundry hampers and baskets, things that are just sort of taking up floor space, need to be boxed up and put away, put into the cupboards, make sure your home has the feeling it can breathe, open up all the blinds, turn on the lights so that your home is really valuable, so when your home is being shown your home stands out amongst all the others. If you have any questions please send me an email anytime to tanya@tanyarankin.com and I hope you have a fantastic week.
