Tanya Rankin Talks About Activity Throughout 2013 In The Williams Lake Real Estate Market
Tanya Rankin: Hi it’s Tanya Rankin in Williams Lake. Wish everybody a happy new year and all the very best of great things for them in 2014 hopefully everyone had a little bit of down time and some time to enjoy the family friend over the festive season but it’s time to get back at it and I want to start the year of with giving you a statistical report from the BC Northern Real Estate Board on the first three quarters of the year I always find this information really useful and then next week I’m gonna give us the last quarter. They don’t have quite the stats ready for us yet but I use my little cheat sheet slightly but as of the end of September we had sold 269 properties where the total of $53.4 million dollars compare to last year when we sold 237 for a total combined dollar volume of $52 million that means that the homes that sold this year although greater in inventory they sold at slightly lower over dollar average and the average length of time that it was taking to sell a home was 61 days on the market that’s for a single family home. So that’s doesn’t include the acreages role properties or anything too far out but it is 61 days anytime longer than that you have to ask yourself why isn’t it selling, re-assess the situation talk to your agent, talk to every you trust and respect in the industry and make an adjustment accordingly. If you have any questions send me an email anytime to tanya@tanyarankin.com and I hope you have a fantastic week!
