Tanya Rankin: Hi it’s Tanya Rankin in Williams Lake. I want to enforce how important it is that if you choose to work with the proving professional that you also respect their input and they’re opinion of value on your property. It’s like going to a doctor because you aren’t feeling well they prescribed what they believe is the right medicine to fix your ailment and you insist that you need something different. Why go to a doctor? It’s the same with the realtor if you’re gonna insist that you are correct why go to a realtor? I’m not saying that you can’t communicate your thoughts and express why you’d like to try higher and it doesn’t mean I don’t take listings that are sometimes price higher than what I believe that market will dictate. But what it does mean is if you gonna come in and demand to listed a certain price not allow me to come see the property or even allow me to offer my opinion as to why it didn’t sell previously. Really the relationship already is one based on trust and respect and understanding of what comparable sales data that dictates and why I have to price the property at the certain price point. It’s so important that you trust the person you are working with and want their opinion on value if you’re serious about selling your property and if you are listed with another agent or another office for a period of six months have had no absolutely showings. The market is both for itself it doesn’t matter how much you try to convince me why your place is worth a certain dollar it’s comparable sales data in the end that tells a story not me.
